With your KHS Performance Gym Membership, you are able to work on your KHS Strength and Conditioning Programming and/ Rehabilitate your injury like a professional athlete, working towards optimal outcomes and performance! All Performance Gym clients must be current KHS clients and have a program that has been provided by a KHS clinician.

Kathryn Arbic BSc, RMT
Kathryn completed the Massage Therapy program in Nelson in 2023. She is registered with the CMTBC and a member of RMTBC. She is an Active Release Technique ® Certified Provider, Full Body Level 1, and a candidate member of the Canadian Sport Massage Therapists Association. Kathryn enjoys tailoring treatments to each individual and helping you work through specific concerns.

Shannon Christmas BScPT, FCAMPT, CGIMS
Shannon incorporates her skills and experience in manual therapy and IMS, together with patient education and exercise prescription to provide a one-on-one, client-centered approach in her treatment sessions. Shannon completed her physiotherapy degree from the University of British Columbia in 1999. She completed her Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy (‘Part ‘B’) in 2005. Shannon also completed her training to practice the Chan Gunn method of Intramuscular needling (CGIMS, 2004). Shannon worked in orthopaedic and sports clinics in Victoria until she could not be away from the great skiing and mountain biking of Nelson any longer. Robyn Clark BKin, MEd, MCVP, RRP
Robyn has been co-owner of Kootenay Health Services Inc., since 2000. She completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 1996 and a Master of Education in 2009 and has worked in the field of Health, Fitness and Rehabilitation since 1995. Robyn is both the clinical coordinator and a practicing clinician at Kootenay Health. She firmly believes in empowering individuals by providing them with the tools they need to successfully achieve their goals. Samantha Smith BScKin, MScPT
As an Olympian (Tokyo 2020 – trampoline gymnastics) and a lifelong athlete, Samantha strongly believes in promoting health and activity for everyone from professional athletes to people who are just starting their fitness journey. Samantha specialises in creating personalised injury rehabilitation programs. She believes in addressing the root cause of injury and not just the symptoms. Her treatment approach includes manual therapy, patient education, and functional exercise programs. She is certified in Dry Needling and has taken continuing professional development to specialize in treating both artistic athletes and runners. She is a certified running specialist through The Running Clinic. She has also competed the Advanced Integrative Manual Therapy course level 2 Upper Body. Samantha has experience working with everyone from Team Canada athletes to house-bound seniors. She has worked as a Community Physiotherapist with Vancouver Coastal Health, and has extensive training in joint replacement care, fall prevention, and balance training. She is a dedicated athlete who enjoys any adventurous activity that takes her outside such as skiing, mountain biking and paddling. Samantha completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from UBC Okanagan. Samantha is now accepting new patients and looks forward to sharing her passion for sustainable healthy living with you!

Co-owner of Kootenay Health Services Inc., Craig incorporates a hands-on approach into his physiotherapy practice where education and progression to independent management is paramount and attainable through individual 30-45 minute treatment sessions. Craig graduated from the University of Alberta (BScPT) (1996), completed post-graduate certification in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (2000), www.manipulativetherapy.org, certification in IMS (2010), www.istop.org, and certification as a Hand Therapist (2013), www.htcc.org. When not at work Craig can be found chasing after his kids: Ayla, Keegan, Clark and Bon.
